About this plugin
Your visitors often ask questions you have already answered. Repondea FAQ Assistant finds the appropriate answer in your approved FAQs and displays that exact text. AI selects an answer; it does not write a new reply.
When an approved FAQ does not sufficiently answer the question, the assistant shows your team’s contact link. It cannot access personal orders, grant refunds, book appointments or act in your tools. Selection can be wrong: test and maintain your FAQs.
Configure the FAQs on Repondea, publish your assistant, then paste its public ID in Settings > Repondea FAQ Assistant. Enable the external service consent checkbox to add a button to your site. The service iframe loads only when a visitor opens it.
No theme changes, API key, automatic content import or chat transcript tracking.
The plugin connector is free and all its code is included. The external service has a free plan (one assistant, 10 FAQs and 30 questions per calendar month) and a Pro subscription (€9/month, one assistant, 50 FAQs and 1,000 questions per calendar month). Monthly limits apply to the service, including test and unmatched questions; no automatic overage charges.

External services and privacy
This plugin requires the Repondea hosted FAQ service, which performs substantive AI answer selection on its server.
- Repondea (https://repondea.com): loads the public assistant frame only after the visitor opens it. The site administrator must explicitly consent in the settings before the connector is enabled. The public assistant ID is transmitted; no WordPress user details or site content are imported. Questions are sent to the Repondea question endpoint when the visitor asks them.
- OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai) and its TypeSafe decision provider: Repondea sends the visitor question and the assistant’s approved FAQ texts to select an answer. No browser call or API key exposure to these providers. These are external processors; no exclusively European processing or zero retention guarantee is claimed.
- Gmail and Stripe: used by the Repondea account service for requested sign-in emails and optional subscription billing, not called by this WordPress plugin.
Repondea does not store visitor questions or chat transcripts. It stores account and FAQ data, sign-in hashes, billing identifiers and monthly usage counters. Technical server access logs include IP addresses.
Published FAQs are public; do not add sensitive or confidential information. The service uses a functional sign-in cookie for the account owner; this connector adds no tracking cookie.
