LeadBot components and Inline LeadBots
Using LeadBot components (AI chat, forms, WhatsApp, buttons) or an Inline LeadBot inside your pages? Enter your default component LeadBot ID under Settings -> LeadBot. You then only paste the component’s <div> into an HTML block; the plugin loads the components script on every page that contains one.
Prefer a shortcode? [leadbot component="YOUR-COMPONENT-ID"] places a component and [leadbot flow="YOUR-INLINE-LEADBOT-ID"] an Inline LeadBot. Shortcodes work in any editor or page builder.
Optional attributes: leadbot, color (for example #0074FF ), chrome="false" and theme ( light, dark or auto ).
External services
This plugin is a connector for the LeadBot SaaS chat widget and cannot function without the LeadBot service. By installing, activating, and configuring the plugin with a LeadBot account, you authorize it to communicate with the LeadBot service as described below.
What the plugin connects to and why

com/v1/install-tokens/verify
- When it runs: only when a logged-in administrator confirms an install link initiated from the LeadBot dashboard.
- What is sent: the WordPress site URL and the one-time install token from the install link.
- Why: to verify the install link is valid and obtain the domain key that links this site to the matching LeadBot account.

domainKey=<your-domain-key>
- When it runs: on every public-facing page, only after a domain key has been saved in the plugin settings.
- What is sent: the standard request data any browser sends when loading a script, such as IP address, user agent and referrer, plus your public domain key as a query parameter.
- Why: this script is the LeadBot chat widget itself. It is not a generic third-party CDN library, it is the runtime delivery of the LeadBot SaaS product, served by LeadBot’s own infrastructure. It cannot be bundled locally because the widget is configured and updated server-side per LeadBot account.

- When it runs: only on pages that contain a LeadBot component – a pasted <div data-leadbot-step> or the [leadbot] shortcode.
- What is sent: the standard request data any browser sends when loading a script, such as IP address, user agent and referrer. The script then sends your public domain key and LeadBot ID to LeadBot to load the published components.
- Why: this script renders the LeadBot components (chat, forms, WhatsApp, buttons) placed in your pages. Like the widget script, it is the runtime delivery of the LeadBot SaaS product and cannot be bundled locally.

LeadBot widget and components runtime – once loaded, the widget may communicate with LeadBot servers to render conversations and submit visitor input according to the flows configured in the connected LeadBot account. This communication is handled by the widget, not by the plugin’s PHP code.
No data is sent to LeadBot from the plugin itself until an administrator either confirms a LeadBot-initiated install link in wp-admin, or saves a domain key in the plugin’s settings. Removing the domain key, or uninstalling the plugin, stops the widget and components from loading.
